Light and silky chocolate mousse with dark chocolate and whipped egg whites. A classic French dessert that never fails to impress guests.
Ingredients
- 200 g dark chocolate (70%)
- 4 eggs, separated
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 dl whipping cream
- 1 pinch of salt
Method
- 1Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie or microwave. Cool slightly.
- 2Whip the egg whites with salt to soft peaks, add sugar and whip to stiff peaks.
- 3Whip the cream to soft peaks.
- 4Stir the egg yolks into the melted chocolate.
- 5Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate, then fold in the egg whites in stages – stir as little as possible.
- 6Divide into serving glasses and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
