Pizza Dough

Classic Italian pizza dough with yeast and olive oil. Gives a thin and crispy base with great flavour – the foundation of a really good homemade pizza.

Ingredients

  • 5 dl all-purpose flour
  • 25 g fresh yeast
  • 2 dl lukewarm water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar

Method

  1. 1Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water. Add sugar.
  2. 2Add olive oil and salt. Gradually knead in the flour for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. 3Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. 4Divide into 2 equal pieces. Roll each one out thinly on a floured surface.
  5. 5Add your chosen tomato sauce, cheese and toppings.
  6. 6Bake at the highest oven temperature (250°C) for 8–10 minutes until the base is crispy and the cheese is bubbling.
