Classic Italian pizza dough with yeast and olive oil. Gives a thin and crispy base with great flavour – the foundation of a really good homemade pizza.
Ingredients
- 5 dl all-purpose flour
- 25 g fresh yeast
- 2 dl lukewarm water
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
Method
- 1Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water. Add sugar.
- 2Add olive oil and salt. Gradually knead in the flour for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 3Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- 4Divide into 2 equal pieces. Roll each one out thinly on a floured surface.
- 5Add your chosen tomato sauce, cheese and toppings.
- 6Bake at the highest oven temperature (250°C) for 8–10 minutes until the base is crispy and the cheese is bubbling.
