    Cook the penne in well-salted boiling water according to the packet instructions. Reserve 1 dl pasta water before draining.

    Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté the garlic and chilli flakes for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

    Add the vodka and cook for 2 minutes to reduce.

    Pour in the crushed tomatoes and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
