A traditional Swedish rice porridge, often served at Christmas but delicious year-round. Top with cinnamon and sugar.
Ingredients
- 1.5 dl porridge rice
- 3 dl water
- 7-8 dl milk
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp butter
Method
- 1Bring water, rice, and salt to a boil. Simmer under lid for 10 minutes.
- 2Add milk, butter, and cinnamon stick. Bring back to a simmer.
- 3Let the porridge swell on very low heat for 30-40 minutes without stirring.
- 4Serve with extra milk, cinnamon, and sugar.
