A delicious Greek savory pastry made with layers of crispy phyllo dough and a rich filling of spinach and feta cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 package phyllo dough
- 500 g fresh spinach, chopped
- 250 g feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 bunch scallions, chopped
- Fresh dill, chopped
- Melted butter or olive oil for brushing
Method
- 1Sauté scallions and spinach until wilted. Squeeze out as much liquid as possible.
- 2In a bowl, mix spinach, feta, eggs, and dill.
- 3Brush a baking dish with oil. Layer half of the phyllo sheets, brushing each with oil.
- 4Spread the spinach mixture over the phyllo.
- 5Top with remaining phyllo sheets, brushing each with oil.
- 6Score the top layers and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35-45 minutes until golden and crispy.
