The quintessential Swedish side dish. Thinly sliced cucumbers marinated in a sweet and sour pickling liquid with dill.
Ingredients
- 1 cucumber
- 2 tbsp vinegar (12%)
- 1 dl water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 0.5 tsp salt
- Fresh dill, chopped
Method
- 1Slice the cucumber very thinly.
- 2Mix vinegar, water, sugar, and salt until sugar dissolves.
- 3Add cucumber and dill to the liquid.
- 4Place a weight on top and let marinate for at least 1 hour.
- 5Serve chilled.
