Garlic and Thyme Chicken Thighs

Juicy chicken thighs sautéed with fresh garlic and aromatic thyme. A simple and flavorful weekday dinner that pairs perfectly with rice or potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 600 g chicken thighs
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme (or 1 tsp dried)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Method

  1. 1Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. 2Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. 3Fry the chicken for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. 4Lower heat slightly, add garlic and thyme, and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  5. 5Squeeze over the lemon juice and let simmer for 1 minute.
  6. 6Check that the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature 165°F/74°C). Serve with your choice of sides.
