Baked Salmon Fillet with Dill and Lemon

Whole salmon fillet baked in the oven with butter, fresh dill and lemon. Easy to prepare and perfect when cooking for a crowd.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg salmon fillet with skin
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 bunch fresh dill
  • 2 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp white pepper
  • 50 g butter, sliced

Method

  1. 1Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. 2Place the salmon skin-side down on the tray. Brush with olive oil.
  3. 3Season with salt and pepper. Scatter the garlic slices and dill over the salmon.
  4. 4Lay the lemon slices and butter on top.
  5. 5Bake for 15–20 minutes depending on thickness, until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily.
  6. 6Serve immediately with boiled potatoes or broccoli and a squeeze of lemon.
