The classic Swedish pizzeria side dish – pickled white cabbage salad with oregano and vinegar. Tangy and crunchy, the perfect partner to pizza.
Ingredients
- 0.5 white cabbage (about 500 g), finely shredded
- 0.5 dl white wine vinegar
- 0.5 dl water
- 1 dl rapeseed oil
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Method
- 1Finely shred the white cabbage with a sharp knife or mandoline.
- 2Whisk together vinegar, water, oil, sugar, salt, white pepper and oregano to make a dressing.
- 3Pour the dressing over the shredded cabbage and mix well.
- 4Leave the pizza salad to marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours – the longer the better.
- 5Stir and taste before serving. Serve cold alongside pizza.
