The classic Swedish pizzeria side dish – pickled white cabbage salad with oregano and vinegar. Tangy and crunchy, the perfect partner to pizza.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 white cabbage (about 500 g), finely shredded
  • 0.5 dl white wine vinegar
  • 0.5 dl water
  • 1 dl rapeseed oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Method

  1. 1Finely shred the white cabbage with a sharp knife or mandoline.
  2. 2Whisk together vinegar, water, oil, sugar, salt, white pepper and oregano to make a dressing.
  3. 3Pour the dressing over the shredded cabbage and mix well.
  4. 4Leave the pizza salad to marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours – the longer the better.
  5. 5Stir and taste before serving. Serve cold alongside pizza.
