Baked Falukorv with Cheese and Cream

Classic Swedish baked falukorv sausage with onion, cream, crème fraîche and melted cheese. A creamy and filling everyday dinner the whole family loves.
Ingredients
- 1 falukorv sausage (approx. 500 g), sliced
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 1 dl whipping cream
- 1 dl crème fraîche
- 1 dl grated cheese
- 1 tbsp mustard
- salt and pepper
- butter for the dish
Method
- 1Preheat oven to 200°C. Grease an ovenproof dish.
- 2Slice the falukorv and onion. Layer them in the dish.
- 3Mix cream, crème fraîche and mustard. Season with salt and pepper. Pour over the sausage.
- 4Scatter grated cheese evenly over the top.
- 5Bake for 25 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbling. Serve with boiled potatoes and lingonberry jam.
