Swedish Thick Pancakes

Fluffy and golden krabbelurer – Swedish thick drop pancakes perfect for fika. Serve with jam and cream for a classic experience.

Ingredients

  • 3 dl all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 dl milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g melted butter
  • butter for frying

Method

  1. 1Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a bowl.
  2. 2Whisk together milk, eggs and melted butter in another bowl.
  3. 3Combine wet and dry ingredients into a smooth batter.
  4. 4Heat a frying pan over medium heat with a little butter. Drop spoonfuls of batter (about 1 tbsp each) into the pan.
  5. 5Fry until bubbles have set on the top surface, then flip and cook until golden on the other side.
  6. 6Serve warm with jam and whipped cream.
