Classic Swedish waffles with crispy edges and a soft interior. Serve with jam and whipped cream or just a dusting of icing sugar.
Ingredients
- 3 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 dl milk
- 2 eggs
- 100 g melted butter
- Butter for the waffle iron
Method
- 1Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
- 2Whisk in the milk and eggs a little at a time until a smooth batter forms.
- 3Stir in the melted butter.
- 4Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.
- 5Heat a waffle iron and brush with butter.
- 6Pour in the right amount of batter and cook until the waffles are golden brown and release easily.
- 7Serve immediately with jam, whipped cream or icing sugar.
