A juicy and flavorful vegetarian burger based on formable plant-based mince, seasoned with smoky notes and onion.

Ingredients

  • 400 g formable plant-based mince (thawed)
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, red onion, and burger dressing for serving

Method

  1. 1Mix the thawed formable mince with onion powder, smoked paprika, soy sauce, liquid smoke, salt, and pepper.
  2. 2Shape the mixture into 4 even, flat patties.
  3. 3Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes per side until they have a nice crust and are cooked through.
  4. 4Toast the burger buns.
  5. 5Assemble the burgers with dressing, lettuce, patties, and vegetables.
