A juicy and flavorful vegetarian burger based on formable plant-based mince, seasoned with smoky notes and onion.
Ingredients
- 400 g formable plant-based mince (thawed)
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp liquid smoke (optional)
- Salt and black pepper
- Oil for frying
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, red onion, and burger dressing for serving
Method
- 1Mix the thawed formable mince with onion powder, smoked paprika, soy sauce, liquid smoke, salt, and pepper.
- 2Shape the mixture into 4 even, flat patties.
- 3Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes per side until they have a nice crust and are cooked through.
- 4Toast the burger buns.
- 5Assemble the burgers with dressing, lettuce, patties, and vegetables.
- 6Serve immediately, optionally with fries.
