Flavour-packed Indonesian fried noodles with prawns, egg, vegetables and sweet kecap manis. A quicker and equally delicious companion to nasi goreng.

Ingredients

  • 300 g egg noodles
  • 200 g prawns
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp kecap manis
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 shallots, sliced
  • 2 red chillies
  • 100 g cabbage, shredded
  • 2 spring onions
  • Oil

Method

    Cook noodles until just al dente. Drain and rinse.

    Fry garlic, shallots and chillies in oil until fragrant.

    Add the prawns and cook until pink.

    Push to one side, scramble the eggs in the same pan.

    Add noodles and cabbage. Toss over high heat.

    Add kecap manis, soy sauce and oyster sauce. Toss well. Garnish with spring onions.
