Homemade taco spice blend with no unnecessary additives. Mix once, store in a jar and use for tacos, fajitas and chilli.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Method

    Measure all the spices into a small bowl.

    Stir together until evenly combined.

    Transfer to a small glass jar with a lid. Label with the name and date.

    Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months. Use about 2 tbsp per 500 g mince.
